3 Super Cute Valentine’s Day activities for Toddlers and Preschoolers

Sensory Bin

Happy Valentine’s Day! Here are 3 super cute activities you can do with your preschoolers and toddlers this holiday! Let’s start off with sensory bin.

Oil and water

This was so beautiful I didn’t want to clean it up!

Add pink food coloring to some water with a few drops of dish soap to prevent stains.

Fill some bottles with baby oil, and oil based food coloring. I ran out of red so I went with pink.

Add some cute fillers and tools and have the kids use pipettes to drop the oil into the water.

I have a “crush” on you

As I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw the creator, @youre_washable, post about this and new I had to change my Valentine’s Day plans 😂. They used conversation hearts, however I couldn’t find those, so I used Smarties and they still worked out great!

Add Smarties to a jar.

Provide your child with a tray, spoon, pestle, and mortar.

Have your kids use the spoon to scoop candy into the mortar.

Use the pestle to crush the candy.

When they are finished, you can put them in a cute little keepsake jar for them to give to their Valentine.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Welcome to the chocolate covered strawberry shop! This looked so cute in person, it was so hard to capture on camera.

I got the trays from the Dollar Tree, and used brown and white pompoms as the “chocolate”.
